Band Bio
Northbound Soul is a postmodern folk-rock group based in Erie, PA.
The foundations for Northbound Soul began in 2017, when Mike Spagnolo began writing and recording some of his original tunes. The next year, he began playing his songs out at local open mic nights, and received great feedback.
In March 2019, Mike recruited his long-time friend Alan Bickel as a drummer. Together they came up with the band name Northbound Soul.
Husband and wife duo Kyle and Chelsea Hall joined the band in 2020 and 2021 respectively, bringing bass and keyboards to the mix and our final member, Logan Battin added lead guitar to the mix in 2023.
Northbound Soul is Michael Spagnolo (vocals/rhythm guitar), Alan Bickel (drums), Kyle Hall (bass), Chelsea Hall (keyboard), and Logan Battin (lead guitar).
